With over 17 years of comprehensive experience in software development and Agile transformation leadership, I am a strategic and pragmatic leader proficient at steering multinational large organizations in the banking and insurance industries. My career includes forming, transforming, and running software development units and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. I thrive on coaching individuals, fostering innovation, and enabling cross-team collaboration to meet organizational goals. I have over 15 years of experience in leading software development projects of various size and complexity in banking and insurance industries. I have managed projects using a traditional waterfall approach with infrequent big-bang releases as well as acted in a servant leadership role helping Agile Teams to deliver frequently value to their Customers. I was responsible for introducing industry-transforming insurance sales & support system for one of the largest insurance company in Poland under strict timelines and in a competitive environment. I was leading the Agile transformation in one of the most recognizable Nordic banks, taking in various delivery related roles including Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer and Solution Train Engineer.
I’m interested in supporting content related knowledge with practical examples from my experience, not hiding the challenges in application of specific practices and sharing the way I was able to overcome them. This allows courses participants to boost the learning experience and avoid the pitfalls when taking the learnings into the day-to-day work. I keep the informal atmosphere and positive approach in the training room, especially when the course is run remotely, to make sure to keep high energy levels and constant engagement.
Leading projects is a demanding activity itself. My biggest project challenge is linked with the project run for government organization with strict formal not-negotiable processes and no room for a dialogue with stakeholders. When the Team focus is shifting from delivery to sticking to every line of formal agreement, it creates a non-supporting project environment with low chance for successful completion of the initiative.
